A Cornish Wedding by the sea

Becky and Nick get married.

“Thank you for capturing our day just perfectly, you have an awesome way of making everyone feel relaxed and we knew we could just let you crack on and do your thing. We are both so thrilled with our photos, thank you so much. Becky and Nick”

“Just do your thing Andrew” was what Becky and Nick wanted from me. I really love it when bride and groom’s trust me to just capture their wedding in my own way. It gives me room to get creative and is what I love about shooting weddings in Cornwall.

Becoming part of, instead of just being at the wedding is always my goal. The reason? The photos. They show the real happiness and emotion of the day, an insiders view of the wedding.

Choosing the photos from Becky and Nick’s Wedding for this blog took a really long time. So many great moments to pick from since it was just such an amazing day! The final few below that made the cut are just some of the shots that I love.

Nick is actually a fellow wedding photographer himself and shoots some great photos. “This must be like cooking for chef” one guest told me! But it really was not. It was a privilege to shoot a fellow photographer’s day.

After the ceremony in Feok we all headed to Maenporth and The Cove, just near my hometown of Falmouth. The beach and cliffs provided us with some lovely Cornish backdrops for some photos.

All of Becky and Nick’s friends and family were so so excited to see them get hitched. There was a buzz in the air to be witnessing their wedding day. I loved how relaxed the whole day was. Becky and Nick just enjoyed their day and I fitted around them. Letting the day flow naturally for me is the key to great honest wedding photos and why I keep shootings weddings. Congratulations to Becky and Nick xx
