What a wedding to start off my 2016 season. Jo and Jake’s wonderful day was held at Nancarrow Farm in Cornwall. This wedding venue has only been around for a couple of years but it is already a favorite of mine, not to mention loads of my other wedding photographer friends!
Everything about Nancarrow is a photographers dream. Having all the accommodation onsite meant that both Jo and Jake got ready at Nancarrow. This meant that I could easily float between the bride and the groom. This also allowed me to photograph in my free relaxed way.
I also love Nancarrow for it multiple locations to choose from for couples shots.I had not let Jo and Jake know where we were to go for photographs. This is great because it gives me room to get creative. They trusted me enough to know we would get some great photos.
The buildings at Nancarrow are so photogenic, the stunning interiors tastefully finished and with gorgeous light streaming in through traditional farm windows . Oh and the food, wait until you see and taste the food! Nancarrow is still a working farm so the meat comes straight from the farm, which only adds to the authentic rustic feel of Nancarrow.
The day started off with both Jo and Jake getting ready at the farm. Jo and Jake’s families were so friendly and relaxed they made me feel part of the family straight away!
My style of documentary photography suited both Jo and Jake who wanted real natural emotion in their photos. I snapped away capturing some special intimate moments, it was a privilege to be part of!
We soon heading off to St Kea Church where Jo and Jake were married. The service was a really lovely emotional service. Comedy came from the organist getting some of her hymns totally wrong! Bless her, she was 85-90 at a guess! Jake being a Commando Engineer wore his green beret and full uniform, very impressive!
A Series 1 landcover led the convoy of landrovers away from the church (Jake is a keen enthusiast) and along the cornish lanes to Nancarrow farm, where the fires were lit waiting for us all.
Everything about the day was perfect, from the weather to the ceremony to the music. Thank-you Jo and Jake. Your day was topnotch! Enjoy a select few photos from their day.
'Our day was truly magical and your talent has helped us to keep those memories forever.
